Sometimes it's crazy how full-circle life can be. Alec & Ally are high school sweethearts and met at Sacred Heart, which is also where I met them (Alec almost 12 years ago, now!). Alec and I floated in the same social circles and he was actually one of the first people to let me take his photo. As I was scrolling through their engagement photos, it gave me this eerie realization that I've been pursuing this passion for almost 12 years running, and it's still something I push myself to be better at.

I spent the afternoon with Alec & Ally down in Greenwich, NJ, enjoying their company & the beautiful grounds her grandmother lives on. They're so much fun to be around, and they put up with my shenanigans! Click the cut below to see more!

Tonight was one of those magical autumn evenings where everything is just perfect. I met Stephanie and Mike down at Parvins to take their engagement photos and we seriously could not have asked for a more perfect fall night. The sunlight tonight is the type of sunlight that makes me flail around and gush about how amazing the light is, usually leaving looks of befuddled confusion on my clients' faces (any photographer will tell you, great light is a dream). I had so much fun laughing with Stephanie & Mike tonight!

I had so much fun with Larry & Melissa at our Batsto Village engagement session last weekend. We were blessed with beautiful weather & great chemistry, and I was able to get some really lovely photos of this wonderful couple. They brought energy, laughter, ease & fun to the session, and I can't wait for their March wedding!

When you click, you click. Ashley & Colin are a couple after my own heart--Ashley's first words to me were, "Sorry, but we're kind of awkward," and my immediate response was, "THANK GOD, ME TOO!" Despite her "warning," Ashley & Colin were far from awkward during our Cape May engagement shoot last night. They are so in love & it was so fun to work with them.

Katina contacted me a few weeks ago about setting up an engagement session down in Cape May.  With this fickle weather we've been having, we were so lucky to have such a beautiful night down the shore--despite some chilly winds, the sunset was beautiful & the atmosphere was great! I had a blast getting to know Katina & Dionisis, and we covered some major ground down in Cape May.

One of my oldest & dearest friends from high school emailed me months back to photograph a super secret operation. I've known Alec since 2002, and I've known Ally since 2005. They started dating in high school & it's been so fun to watch them grow as a couple and experience all of the pangs of growing up, side-by-side. So when Alec emailed me to ask if I would photograph his proposal to Ally, I couldn't help but jump at the opportunity. 

I'll say this much--for anyone that's popping the question, I don't envy your situation at all. I was all nerves, so I can only imagine how Alec felt! The energy throughout the afternoon was so high and exciting, and Alec pulled off his proposal flawlessly. Ally comes from a large family, so he coordinated with them so that they would be part of their special moment. It was so wonderful to see generations of cousins and siblings gathered together to help celebrate such a wonderful moment.
