One thing I will never, ever categorize myself as is a newborn photographer. They're a magical breed of artist that I admire greatly. I will, however, take every opportunity I can to make myself better and pick up new techniques along the way. Plus, any of my friends who ask me to take pictures of their newborn bundles of joy get a "YES!" without hesitation!

That being said, I was very excited when Courtney & Greg asked me to come over and take a few snaps of 3-week-old Declan. His little face is already so expressive & he was so curious about everything going on around him. Not to mention the fact that Courtney & Greg are already like pros with the little guy--I give them crazy props for being so cool, calm & collected, because I would be a hot mess, haha!

A few months ago, Brent & Naomi contacted me to shoot their newborn daughter Charlotte.

Of course I had to jump on the opportunity--not only are they the brother & sister-in-law of Eric (and now Kelly, too!), but a 7-week-old nugget? How could I say no?

She was absolutely precious & a total angel. Not to mention she had quite an array of outfits to choose from (Naomi must be starting her early ;)).
