Baby Grayson

I had such a fun maternity shoot yesterday with my cousin Garett & his wife Ashley. You may remember their beautiful wedding from last April! Nothing makes me happier than when past couples contact me to continue documenting their major life milestones, and I think this shoot was the perfect kick starter to several maternity shoots that I have coming up. 

It's so much fun seeing our family expand, and I know that Gavin is going to be thick as thieves with his new little brother, Grayson. Click the cut to see more!

I also just wanted to make a quick note of what Ashley wore for these photos--if you're planning on having a maternity session done, her clothing choice was spot on. The red pants were an awesome pop of color, and the stripes and fabric of her shirt accentuated her bump beautifully. I like to tell moms-to-be to shy away from bulky sweater materials, and focus on clothes that draw flattering attention to their bump--little ties that go across the top, fabrics that are more clingy, patterns, and layers are a great way to show off a bump!
